Nasjonaldagen: Theme Day
Today is Norway's nasjonaldag (Constitution Day), AND it is one of CDP's National day theme days! Yeay! For those of you who have followed me for a while know I'm not originally from Oslo, I'm from Nedre Eiker, and that's where I am spending the National day this year. Since I'm not in Oslo today, I won't be able to take a photo of the celebrations, so I have posted a photo taken yesterday (by my classmate and photographer, Untiltled Hype Production). Every year, on 16th of May, all kindergarden and school kids are out practicing for the 17th of May parade. Here from the outside the french school in Oslo.

Children love parades and they seem to be enjoying themselves.
ReplyDeleteJeg savner alltid Oslo på nasjonaldagen, selv om det er mange år siden jeg bodde der.
ReplyDeleteMasse koselige bilder fra Oslo lenger ned her.
Gratulerer med dagen!

Fantastic. Love seeing those flags. They look a happy bunch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet capture and looks like everyone's having such a great time! Lovely picture for the day.
ReplyDeleteNice and cute contribution to the theme day.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo, I hope it's been a good day in Norway!
ReplyDeleteYour friend did a good job for you! It is fun to see the children getting ready for the parade. There is a big parade in Seattle this evening and children will be marching just like this. :-). I love seeing the beautiful steeple in the background. Hope you had a lovely holiday!

Long may the red white and blue flag wave! Happy national day to Norway!
ReplyDeleteFrom outside the French School in Oslo, but not necessarily children from that school. How wonderful to have such a mix of nationalities. I agree with the other commenters that it is always good to see children out and about and joining in.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your contribution to the City Daily Photo theme on Norway's Constitution Day. I hope the day was good for you personally.
